Job Description:
At ReOps, we’re a crew of engineers powering remote DevOps solutions with no fluff—no ATS, no recruiters, no project managers, just pure engineering. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you’ll work directly with us to design, deploy, and optimize AWS-based infrastructure for our clients. If you’re all about spinning up cloud environments, automating workflows, and solving tough problems with code, join our engineer-driven team and make it happen.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, RDS) for client workloads.
- Automate provisioning and management using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Set up and optimize serverless applications with Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Configure storage solutions like S3 and EBS with lifecycle policies and backups.
- Implement monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch for system health and performance.
- Harden AWS environments with IAM roles, security groups, and encryption (e.g., KMS).
- Optimize cloud costs through auto-scaling, reserved instances, and resource tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in networking, compute, and storage setups.
- Document configurations and processes for the team—straightforward and technical.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
-
3+ years working with AWS in a cloud engineering or DevOps role.
-
Strong experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC).
-
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
-
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and AWS container services (ECS, EKS).
-
Knowledge of AWS security best practices and tools (IAM, KMS, Security Hub).
-
Experience with monitoring (CloudWatch) and log management (CloudTrail).
-
Ability to work independently in a remote, all-engineer environment.
-
Bonus: AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) or CI/CD tool experience.
